On Saturday, November 3rd a new pedestrian bridge will be lifted and installed at Cooksville GO. The pedestrian bridge will connect the new parking structure to the rail platform, providing easier and better access to the station. This is just one of the ways we are transforming your station.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- The installation will take up to four hours to complete, and is scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
- This work will have some impact to residents. You may experience moderate noise associated with the installation equipment. There will also be additional lighting to ensure the bridge is installed safely.
- The safety of our neighbours, community and customers comes first. As such, the surrounding area (station access via Hurontario Street, the station platform and station access via the south side of the tunnel) will be closed off to ensure the safety of the public and our workers.
- Site access will continue to be restricted during the bridge installation.
In the event of unanticipated inclement weather or high winds, the bridge lift could be rescheduled to occur later
in the day or the following day.
